The series on Netflix "Rael the alien prophet" is about a cult with cult leader being 'rael' = Claude Vorilhon who claimed to have had an encounter with a UFO and extraterrestrials.
There are a lot of similarities with the narcissistic psychopath = psychopathic superiorist Bhagwan/Rajneesh/Osho in him, his helpers, his group, their actions etc.
26:46 "When I saw Rael give extremely anti-science speeches, when science was supposed to be our religion, it was infuriating, but at the same time I was unable to question the fundamental belief that Rael was the Messiah. That is the power of faith. Your belief is so strong that you'll accept anything."
WHS: This is his statement on how indoctrination works...
41:48 "Raël says that jealousy is the opposite of love. That someone who is jealous is someone who isn't fulfilled." "I've seen many Raëlians ask their partners to have sexual relations with other people to help them control their feelings of jealousy. Since they believe it's for a noble cause, they willingly force themselves to do it. Now what's interesting is that Raël himself is deeply jealous. But he doesn't show it."
WHS: I didn't have a comment but wanted to make a note of this.
02:06 : "Money is good. It brings happiness. Anyone who says otherwise is poor. It serves them right."
WHS: Money does not bring happiness and he is clearly anti-social by saying "It serves them right". This already tells you he is fake, not wise, not interesting, besides of course the talk in ep.1 about his sexual escapades that already made that clear.
02:12 : "It's bad if you use it for bombs. It's better if you're rolling in it. If we enjoy ourselves."
WHS: From this you can deduce that Rael = a simple thinker.
07:08 : "The aliens have one condition if they are to bring their heaven to Earth in 2035."
WHS: Conveniently far into the future, when he is probably dead...
07:14 : "Claude Vorilhon has to build them an embassy. A runway for flying saucers, a giant villa, and a swimming pool. The project will cost 160 million francs."
WHS: Why would aliens want this? This should already tell you that 'Rael' is a bullshitter.
WHS: I had been thinking about George Adamski and Rajneesh/Bhagwan/Osho. Then later, after 18 minutes into ep.2, I decided to read up on 'Rael' and on his wikipedia page both are coincidentally mentioned, or rather not coincidentally mentioned because he obviously has based his stories on similar people or those people.
WHS: The wikipedia page mentions running away when he was 15 and making money on the streets by singing: This is likely when/where he perfected 'bullshitting'.
WHS: I am not sure at what point I thought about his (Vorilhon's) ridiculous outfit but I was thinking about 'shunyamurti', who dresses in expensive clothes while pretending to live a simple life.
26:00 : WHS: Distributing pamphlets accusing the church of having pedophiles as a 'defense' against accusations of what the Rael group did, reminds me of actions by Rajneesh/Bhagwan in the USA...
28:10 : WHS: guards: same as Rajneesh/Bhagwan did in the USA...
29:00 : WHS: rael left France, same as Rajneesh did from India and later when he tried to leave the USA: running away...
38:54 : WHS: Note the 'his holiness' name-plate for that crackpot 'rael'.
40:28 : "witch hunt against religious minorities"
WHS: aha, there we have victimhood, which is tedious, all the fringe groups these days make such whiny and nonsensical complaints...
42:55 : WHS: in her statements she (Brigitte Boisselier) reminds me of 'Sheela', the psychopath who committed crimes in the Bhagwan cult, esp. laughing it off (but she is not as anti-social as Sheela)
WHS: All followers are wasting their lives and some are going to realise that they wasted their lives at some point... [ returning here after ep.4, one of them admits that... ]
09:31 : "Those who are against cloning or eternal life... well, let them die."
WHS: Anti-social comment, similar to his comment about money [ S01E02: 02:06 : "Money is good. It brings happiness. Anyone who says otherwise is poor. It serves them right." ]
14:00 : On a speech about cloning:
13:37 [ 'Rael' ] "Why did I ask Brigitte Boisselier to create the first human company in America? Because, as the country of freedom, you have a constitution which should be a model for the whole world."
WHS: 1. Note his smiling... 2. I feel manipulation from giving praise about the constitution which is clearly meant to influence everyone to let this group do what they want in the name of freedom...
13:49 : [Jay Weaver] "The founder of the Raëlians is saying something embracing the principles of the United States, and its freedoms, and its openness. They're smart."
WHS: Not really, I immediately felt he was manipulating them, and anyone there who is not stupid would know/realise this and get a negative feeling about him and his group...
23:08 "Bang! The planet knows Raelians exist."
WHS: And further? Nobody cares about your group because you are of no value/interest, I recall hearing something once about a cult claiming to have cloned, but nothing else... You are zeroes!
39:35 : "Thanks to the cloning, you've received 600 million dollars in coverage."
WHS: What do they mean? That the 'airtime' would cost that much in case of advertisements? And so what? What has it achieved? What has this group achieved?
39:46 : "Rael clearly thinks he's a genius."
WHS: perhaps...
39:49 : "Nonetheless, we're continuing to clone, and it's real. Brigitte says it's true, and I have no reason to doubt her. Even if you think we did it for the publicity, it's wonderful. We're press geniuses."
WHS: She was right...
01:32 : "It felt dangerous. Because Rael is a malicious manipulator... ...who is addicted to female submission."
WHS: Is that so?
01:48 : "Whoa, such attention to detail. She's wiping the socks."
WHS: Yes, she is right.
WHS: After that they show some video of how everything during the interview needs to be a certain way 'as he showed'...
WHS: Further on about the ceremony with half naked women, she (undercover reporter) says exactly that which stood out to me as I wrote above...
WHS: Preliminary conclusion: From all his comments Vorilhon is anti-social, and taking a role as a equal to Christ while offering nothing of value in understanding life, he has to be a narcissist...
08:46 : "When I read the article in Playboy, I simply saw Rael as a sex maniac."
WHS: Why not earlier? That was already clear at the start of this series which I presume was earlier in real time.
About cloning having really been done or not:
14:55 : "There are two branches within the Raelian movement. Those who say she did it, and those who say she didn't. I'll tell you one thing which might shock you."
WHS: My guess: "to me it doesn't matter"
15:05 : "If she did it, well done, Brigitte. If she didn't do it, well done, Brigitte, for daring to make us dream."
WHS: So I was right...
19:29 : "Some public institutions started looking into the various advantages the movement had due to its Church status. They paid no taxes." 19:39 : "And some police services looked more closely into the Raelians." 19:47 : "It was more difficult for Rael to carry on business as usual. He had less free rein. That's when the Raelian movement started waning." 19:58 : "Rael packed his bags."
20:05 : "I remember a lot of Raelians felt lost because they felt like Rael had abandoned them."
WHS: Same as Rajneesh who suddenly left the ashram in India, after India decided he needed to pay taxes... He just left for the USA, people in the ashram in India were simply abandoned.
21:36 "The fact that people whom I made happy, whom I freed from any sort of guilt, whether it be sexual or other, and who are experiencing greater happiness than before they met me, pay homage to me, is wonderful."
WHS: He is just like Rajneesh/Bhagwan, same BS, just a little less anti-social.
22:36 [ FORMER JUDGE ] "He's still there. He looks like someone. He looks like Bhagwan."
WHS: Correct, but the similarity was evident much sooner...
26:02 [ vorilhon ] "What's the purpose of life? To be happy."
WHS: Wrong, that is not the purpose of life, and thus he is a moron.
26:19 : "Happiness is to never stop laughing. But you're not being serious, Mr. Rael. No, definitely not. You should be scared of serious people."
WHS: Same BS as Rajneesh/Bhagwan...
26:33 : "That's why I decided to live in Japan."
WHS: No, that was to avoid prosecution, just like why Rajneesh/Bhagwan wanted to leave the USA...
26:46 "When Rael moved to Japan, it was a way to protect himself."
WHS: Correct.
26:52 : "He hasn't been in France for decades. He probably won't return to the USA."
WHS: Probably not.
7:28 : "I would probably have never mentioned cloning if the Pope hadn't mentioned it. I heard the Pope was against it. I thought, "Right..." "Let's create a cloning company." Because everything the Pope says, I immediately try to counter it."
WHS: Being contrarian on purpose, similar to Bhagwan... = anti-social, no wisdom.
31:21 "Each passing moment with our prophet Rael still alive, for me, it's almost a gift, a kindness from the Elohim. Because, as he says himself, he thinks he's accomplished his mission, but if we can build an embassy now, and he can see the embassy before he goes, I think he deserves it."
WHS: He deserves a kick in the nuts!
33:26 : "You must believe in yourself. To do so, you need to draw from your roots and your culture. That's why any self-respecting African can't carry on being a Christian."
WHS: 'Rael' is a POS. He wants Christianity, which at least contains wisdom (e.g. Sermon on the mound), replaced with his BS which contains no wisdom of life...
33:37 : "Among your ancient gods, there are Elohim."
WHS: BS
33:40 : They won't make you equal, but superior to the former colonizers.
WHS: BS and this POS is a manipulator and grifter, trying to get a legacy of being remembered for his fake religion while letting people waste their time and their lives on this nonsense and on him..
WHS: The documentary doesn't state what teachings there are, besides some beliefs about aliens, if any, this is done better in the docu about NXIVM though that too was very incomplete in describing the real beliefs and esp. the teaching materials...
My preliminary conclusion was correct: From all his comments Vorilhon is anti-social, and taking a role as a equal to Christ while offering nothing of value in understanding life, he has to be a narcissist. The start of his life as a bullshitter was likely at age 15 when he left home and became self-sufficient via singing on the streets. He likely became streetwise, experienced in bullshitting there, then went on TV during the UFO hype in the 1970s to try his luck with his made up story.
