Goncharenko centre 2025-6-1: Travelling: Expectations and reality, what are my impressions and your impressions of people when travelling in other countries?

Post event notes: See farther down on this page.

Translation: auto translation of this page into Ukrainian

Topics: Interesting things in Ukraine, in Poland, in Germany, and in NL:

Ukraine:

After the person giving me a few apples from a riding car, I was going to a hotel ca. 30 km away. I think about 10-15 km further I saw some guys walking on the road, went past them then decided to return, ask whether there is a hotel or something nearby. They said they only spoke Spanish (or Ukrainian I think, but I don't understand that). Weird. I tried talking in Russian. It was very difficult. Also because they were drunk. One guy was very drunk the other only a little. They were talking about 'Rancho'. Did they mean a farm? Were they spanish guys working here? Strange. Well, anywhere to sleep would be fine. I walked with them, I thought it took too long but then we got there and it is a sort of hostel, called 'Rancho'... So no spanish, no farm, it was the name of that place.

Getting near Zhytomyr: I was looking for a place to sleep, I saw a party on a terrain with tables etc. I asked whether they knew a place to sleep, not so far, could be a hostel, hotel anything. I got talking to them, it was a birthday. They offered me to be part of it, I could eat with them, we talked about issues in life. A girl thought the war would last 8 years (I didn't think so, I thought already in 2022 that Russia would go bankrupt [ though I thought it could have been finished already in 2024 but this didn't happen due to insufficient support in 2023 and 2024, no or not enough secondary sanctions, and more. ]. They gave food also for later for in the place where I could sleep. It was a hostel that wasn't quite finished. They told me to follow a guy in his car, and it turned out I didn't need to pay anything for that...

Just outside Zhytomyr: 2 guys knocked on my door, gave me food and drink. They didn't feel the need for me to do anything in return such as having a talk, they immediately wanted to leave. But I talked to them, because I was curious. They were from Nikolayev, now staying there (temporarily) and working and would leave in 2 days...

In a village: I was looking at my tyre (it was a bit soft), a boy came to me about 15 years old, we got talking first in Russian then in English. Then some friends showed up. They went away but one of them gave me a candy...

Poland:

I was searching for my trousers with belt that I lost 2 days earlier, I went riding back the same route that I had taken, found the trousers but without belt. Someone had taken it... There was a farm, some children, they seemed to speak French. Strange. I couldn't understand them. Tried at the farm, talked a bit with the farmer in Russian and English. It turns out his wife lives in Belgium and the children go to school there... The farmer then offered me some food and tea. I talked with the children and grandmother, using translation because I haven't used French in ages. It was difficult. I speak badly French, by which I mean I didn't recall enough words, and mobile internet was bad so only now and then I could use translation.

Germany

1. Guy pointing me to a berghütte (mountain hut), said I could get fresh milk in the morning close by. Other people asking me about my trip, because I had a lot of bags + backpack.

2. Calling at a house for water, to fill my bottle, woman was hesitant, looked like she thought I was going to rob her or something.

Post event notes:

So people often offered things like food or transport or stay for the night for free without asking for anything, and I wondered what the others had experienced. Someone mentioned getting something without expecting anything and it was some candies from a guy from the Hare Krishna group. I said that I have a very negative view of them because of their insane idea to educate children separately from the parents so that the parents (and children) do not get attached to anything. That is MORONIC! Children need a supportive environment to properly grow up emotionally. I said that that stood out to me in a documentary, with a guy who had been abused there as a child, who was clearly emotion poor. That is what you get with detached upbringing! [ There is no need for any experiments or verification, this is obvious just by thinking about it. I will repeat: The Hare Krishna people are MORONS! ] I said I would post a link to my page where I examine them a bit, though actually it is on a my page about an indoctrinated woman from Yalta, see My website: Analysis of: Email 2014-3-22 from indoctrinated woman from Yalta (Crimea, Ukraine). I mentioned that this is a problem with many groups that do meditation and with idealistic people in general (They care more about the ideals than people! And they don't understand (the essence and the meaning of) life).

With some people who stayed longer I talked a bit more about various topics and what could be interesting for the next meeting. For example: Can artificial intelligence replace people? This is similar to mechanisation, but if all work can be replaced then nobody does anything any more. What then? This is not a useful society (but it may lead to forcing people to do more of what makes sense in life). I said that I don't use AI, I consider it artificial stupidity (see all the nonsense chapGPT produces), and also that I am not interested in using anything to create something myself. I write every text I write myself. I do all analysis in my projects myself, etc. There are things I use, such as computers as a tool for calculations. I once did a computer analysis of a Rubik's cube: How many quarter turns does it take to produce all possible combinations that affect only the upper layer? I came to 19. It first took ca. 60 days calculation time, then with algorithmic improvements (cutoffs, some of which I calculated by computer) I reduced this to about 2 days [ on a single core CPU ]. I wrote the program and the cutoffs and knew how everything worked, so I considered that a tool and I considered because of that, that the result is my result, not that of a computer. That is not the case with AI where you don't know what goes on. [ I mentioned in the Telegram group that Louis Rossman hired someone who was the only person who wrote a real application for a job, the rest had been written by AS (Artificial Stupidity). I would also not hire anyone who didn't write his own job application. I also saw a video with a professor who checked use of such tools and most students used them. I would fail such students, just as he did. ]
